WELCOME. I’M THOMAS.
I’M A REGISTERED ASSOCIATE MFT (AMFT122042) BASED IN SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA.
I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, families, and couples dealing with issues related to:
- Relationships & Conflict
- Anxiety & Depression
- Trauma & PTSD
- Self Esteem
- Life Transitions & Identity
- Mood & Personality Disorders
- Eating Disorders
I PROVIDE A CALM, OPEN, AND NON-JUDGMENTAL SPACE IN WHICH TO BE CURIOUS AS WE EXPLORE YOUR THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS. WE MIGHT LOOK AT DREAMS AND BODY LANGUAGE TO ACCESS PARTS OF YOURSELF THAT YOU HAVE LOST TOUCH WITH OR ARE NOT AWARE OF YET. I SEE MY ROLE AS A FACILITATOR FOR THESE EXPLORATIONS, REFLECTING YOUR WHOLE SELF AND REMINDING YOU OF OR CONNECTING YOU TO YOUR INNER TRUTH.
HOW I THINK ABOUT OUR WORK
Often, our past relationships leave us wounded. The story that we tell ourselves becomes permeated with
negative thoughts, low self-worth, and shame. As these feelings manifest, we become anxious and depressed.
Therapy can help us discover perspectives that create a new narrative, one in which we have different ways to
manage our emotions and lead a more enjoyable life.
MY STYLE IS WARM, NON-JUDGMENTAL, DIRECT.
I use theoretical orientations such as Jungian depth psychotherapy, psychoanalytic interventions, and somatic approaches to understanding my clients and helping them connect to different unconscious fragments of themselves. However, the real value in therapy is the nurturing and developing a trusting relationship and the corrective experience that it can offer.
