AS A SKILLED PSYCHOTHERAPIST, A SEASONED GUIDE,

AND AN INTENTIONAL LISTENER, I WILL JOIN YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY WHERE YOU ALREADY ARE.

The therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of psychotherapy. For treatment to be successful, you need a space where you can feel comfortable sharing more of what’s happening on the inside with someone you trust, who listens and can help you hold and digest your experience. We can encourage that environment, your relational-home, by being together and listening together as you share your thoughts and feelings, your bodily sensations, your current and past relationships, your dreams, your stories, and even the stories within your stories. I’ll bring a style that is warm and unitive, combining psychoanalytic theory, Jungian psychology, philosophy, spirituality, and perspectives on healing from many different cultures and traditions. In your relational-home, we can think together, make meaning out of your experiences, and ultimately find opportunities for symptom relief, growth, and healing.

WHO I WORK WITH

I work with a diverse population of adults, couples and special interest groups. Those who identify in a variety of ways related to age, gender, race, sexuality, and religion have found our work together to be very helpful in navigating the complex issues they’re facing in their lives.

Many of the people who choose to work with me are highly motivated professionals who are independent, self-reliant, and achievement-focused, but often struggle with self-defeating thoughts and patterns of behavior that keep them feeling stuck.

The architects, attorneys, educators, engineers, musicians, physicians, scientists, social workers, writers, and other professionals I work with, each of them diverse in their skills and backgrounds, all have something important in common: Though they’ve gained success through their talent and intellect, they often feel as though something is still missing, a void that they can’t seem to fill.

I’ve been in that situation, and these are the same kinds of feelings that led me to work as psychotherapist. It can be challenging, stressful, and chaotic to be in conflict with ourselves and the world around us.

THERAPY FOR INDIVIDUALS

In our one-on-one sessions, we’ll take the plunge together to understand what’s missing and where to go next.

THERAPY FOR COUPLES & FAMILIES

Couples work with me to wade the depths of their unconscious in a safe space where feelings can be discussed fairly, freely, and openly.

GROUPS & OTHER SPECIALIZATIONS

My work with individuals and groups often involves men’s issues, LGBTQ issues, trauma and spiritual emergence.
